Lyshaan “LA” Hall serves as the Managing Partner of the New York-based financial firm, Breukelen Wealth & Taxes. Although he can be known to many as a Serial Entrepreneur and Financier, Lyshaan says his greatest achievement has been his ability to give back to the community. His humble beginnings taught him to pursue his dreams by any means necessary. As a result, he decided to create the Grow Grant to assist young entrepreneurs. In short, the grant is distributed quarterly in the amount of $500.00. To qualify for the grant, NYC youth must be 13-19 years of age and have an idea that needs minimal funding to GROW. Lyshaan then serves as a mentor to recipients to ensure their idea comes into fruition. If you would like more information, please email Lyshaan at lyshaanhall@breukelenwealth.com.

Giving back is something that Nneka has instilled in her children from the time they were tiny tots, she believes that volunteering their time to help others in need will help her children build strong character that they will carry on into adulthood, and hopefully inspire others to do the same.  She also believes that Education is the foundation for anyone to thrive in this world, unfortunately there are places on this planet where people don't have access to this very basic need.  So Nneka decided this June she will travel to Guatemala with son, Jalen and Daughter Jaday, to volunteer their time building Bottle Schools, an effort put together by Serve the World Today LLC, non-profit organization Hug It Forward and WorldVentures Foundation. Bottle schools are an awesome way to recycle, as the bottles themselves have been discarded and then filled with inorganic trash as a way to help clean the neighborhoods. The construction itself consists of forming walls with chicken wire and cement, ultimately constructing a classroom where the children will be able to learn and expand their horizons.  If you would like more information on this initiative or to donate click link http://www.gofundme.com/GarelPortes

Kudos to Nneka and Family !!!!!

Anastia Oates always wanted to be a lawyer as a child. Besides the amazing salary, she wanted to be a lawyer because they are responsible for speaking for those who lost their voice. With growth and experience, she realized being a lawyer was not the only way to give back to her community or to be the voice. She went on to attended college, obtaining a criminal justice and homeland security degree and a Masters in Human Resource Management.  She now has a successful career in Human Recourses and still finds the time to give back to her community. She recently reached out to a few women’s homeless shelters and inquired what the shelter needed the most. She was able to connect with the Community Director from Calvary Women’s Services in Washington, D.C. and she expressed they are looking for full size conditioner, deodorant, shampoo, and lotion. The IRS reported the average cost of toiletries/personal care for a person living in the United States is $34.00 per month. So, Anastia, created a Go-Fund Me account to raise money to purchase personal items for the women who are in need at Calvary Women’s Services. Donations will be open until

April 10th, 2015.

If you can please make a donation at
